Welcome to Little Light Log Cabin

Little Light Log Cabin began with a simple dream—to create a place where children could learn with purpose, curiosity, faith, and joy.

What began on a five-acre ranch with more than 70 animals, weekly homeschool programs serving nearly 90 students, agriculture workshops, and an exchange program has grown into a thriving private Christian school community.

Today, Little Light Log Cabin serves Pre-K through 12th grade on our 1.4-acre farm and school campus in Eagle Mountain, Utah. Our 4,800-square-foot schoolhouse, gardens, greenhouse, hydroponics towers, outdoor spaces, and farm provide a unique environment where students can learn both inside and outside the classroom.

Little Light Log Cabin is more than a school—it is a community built around wholehearted education.

We combine strong academics with living books, nature, creativity, movement, practical skills, and hands-on experiences designed to ignite wonder, cultivate wisdom, and help each child discover the light and potential within them.

How Learning Comes to Life

Our program is centered on the belief that each child is a whole person, created by God with purpose, potential, and a light within. We seek to nurture that light through:

  • Living books and literature
  • Nature study and science
  • Language arts and mathematics
  • Agriculture and animal care
  • Handicrafts, speech, and entrepreneurship
  • Outdoor play and project-based learning

Students participate in a structured weekly schedule and receive teacher-directed instruction during class time, along with thoughtfully assigned work that supports continued learning throughout the week.

Families play a supportive role at home, while the school provides the academic direction, curriculum, and guidance.

Individual classes—including art, physical education, language arts, mathematics, science and nature study, agriculture, project-based learning, ASL, Spanish, and other enrichment courses—are secular educational offerings. Religious instruction, worship, scripture study, or devotional activities are not included as part of these individual classes.

Our Foundation

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
— Psalm 119:105

This verse serves as both our inspiration and our guiding principle. At Little Light Log Cabin, we walk in the light of God’s truth, trusting Him to illuminate the path for each student’s journey.

As a private Christian school and registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Little Light Log Cabin is committed to creating a community where children are known, encouraged, challenged, and given room to grow.

We value: Faith • Family • Character • Curiosity • Creativity • Responsibility • Community • Joyful Learning

Our hope is that students leave Little Light not only with greater academic knowledge, but also with greater confidence, independence, practical skills, compassion, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
