At Little Light Academy, we believe school should be filled with wonder, connection, and creativity. Our Kinship & Service offerings are an open invitation for students, parents, and community members to build something meaningful together—beyond the classroom.

After-School Clubs

Optional | 30 minutes after school | Led by parent volunteers

Clubs meet once a week and offer fun, enrichment, and leadership opportunities. Students may stay after school on days when a parent volunteer is present to lead a club.

Here are just a few club ideas:

  • Drama & Skits Club – Improv, seasonal plays, and performances
  • Band & Music Jam – All instruments and voices welcome
  • Book Club – Student-selected stories and discussions
  • Board Game Club – Chess, card games, and strategy fun
  • Garden & Animal Club – Care for our living campus
  • Dance or Fitness Club – Movement, music, and fun
  • Graduation Club – Plan end-of-year celebrations and speeches

Parent-Led Kinship Clubs

Parents are welcome to stay and connect after drop-off or pickup!

  • Morning Walking Club – Gentle walks and conversation
  • Parent Book Club – Monthly meetups with meaningful discussion
  • Ski Days & Nature Outings – Winter adventures and hikes
  • Parent Nights – Child-free evenings to recharge and connect

Service Opportunities

We’re always looking for helping hands! Great for teens, parents, or anyone with a willing heart.

Current Needs Include:

  • Animal Care – Feed and tend to chickens, goats, and more
  • Garden & Grounds – Watering, weeding, mulching
  • Classroom Aides – Support mentors with projects and transitions
  • Teens (13–17) – Intern with our Little Lights or Beacons program
  • Construction Help – Assist with schoolhouse building (carpentry experience welcome!)

Service hours can be verified for school or community requirements.

Fundraisers & Fun Nights

We love coming together as a community for special events! Past and planned events include:

  • Student Talent Night + Bake Sale
  • Art Auction featuring student creations
  • Holiday Market with booths by kids and parents

Pizza Lunch

On the first Wednesday and Thursday of each term, we offer Pizza Lunch for a small fee—just a fun way to celebrate the start of a new session!
