Founders
Michael and Misty Muhlestein are the founders of Little Light Log Cabin, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering a love for learning through hands-on, nature-based education. Their journey as a homeschooling family of eight, foster and adoptive parents has shaped the programs they’ve created—a place where children can explore, grow, and thrive.
Before beginning Little Light Log Cabin in Utah, they ran a five-acre educational ranch in California, offering workshops, camps, and enrichment programs that brought together hundreds of students and families. Along the way, they welcomed more than 40 live-in volunteers and international exchange students into their home, building a strong sense of community that continues today.
